Rain, rain, please do stay
Sunday’s are always interesting for me, I never get to sleep like I normally would. It has been like that for a while by my own doing, so it is to be expected. I have volunteered my time to organize and run a local trading card tournament for over 6 years. Doing such things can be difficult when you (and your ride) tend to be tired.
I live where there may be any number weather conditions during a day. Snow, rain, hail, and high winds are all fair game at almost any time of year. Well last year something unexpected happened. It was a Sunday, it was cold, it had snowed, it was February. Nothing unusual there. There strange part happened when my lady of many years decided to blame me for the snow. If that wasn’t bad enough, her mother blamed me not long after she did. They were not even conspiring to place to blame on me, pure coincidence.
I do have a retort to my so called control of the weather. I enjoy the rain, it soothes me. Looking past the cold, standing or walking in pouring rain is just a pleasant experience. Here’s the thing. At work, you can clearly hear the rain when it is pouring down. Yet, if I were to leave to go outside for whatever reason the rain would have stopped. In other words, it would be hard to blame me for weather when I can never get it to rain for me.
If I do control the weather, it is the opposite of what I wish. Which I guess means I may have to abuse this power. What is the opposite of an Ice Age?? No movie references, I didn’t see nor care to see it.
